Jewelry Inspired Design #2

Nfu-Oh GS-14 is one of my top five polishes. It's a black base with holo glitter and very unique.  I've only worn it twice and in the sun the glitter is a lot more noticeable.

I bought this ring a couple months ago and wanted to really make it my own. I decided to paint the flowers black and red using nail polish.

Featured Colors:
  • Nfu-Oh_GS-14
  • China Glaze_Millennium
Design:
  • For the Konad design, I used plate m74 on the thumb, m60 for the argyle pattern, and m10 the paw prints.

Jewelry Inspired Design

I tried out a new design that I had no idea if it would work. After wearing it around for the day, I still think it looks weird.

As I was getting ready this morning, I found a ring that matched my nails.

Featured Colors:
  • Zoya_Charla
  • Zoya_Midori
  • Nyx_Black

Design:
  • I used french tip strips for the top halve of my nails and freehanded the bottom portion.

Flower Child

A friend of mine requested, actually demanded, that I do another sponge design. So, I tried out something pretty simple to demonstrate. I included some extra photos for each step of the process. Enjoy!

Featured Colors:
  • China Glaze_Flip Flop Fantasy
  • China Glaze_Sun Worshiper
  • China Glaze_Towel Boy Toy
  • China Glaze_Kiwi Cool-Ada
  • Zoya_Creamy
  • Special Stamping Polish_Black

Design:
  • Step 1:  Cut off a piece of sponge.
  • Step 2: Use 4-5 drops of nail polish on wax paper.
  • Step 3: Dab sponge on to nails, slowly building color with each application.

  • Step 4: Apply the Konad design to tip of nails. I used plate m60.

Tie Dye Swirls

Featured Colors:
  • China Glaze_Grape Pop
  • China Glaze_Towel Boy Toy
  • China Glaze_Kiwi Cool-Ada
  • Zoya_Paz
  • Zoya_Ali
  • Zoya_Pippa
  • Special Stamping Polish_Black
Design:
  • The tie-dye look is achieved by using a sponge brush and cutting off a piece of sponge for each color to be used.
  • Dab the sponge in polish and pick a random spot to dab on each nail.
  • Repeat multiple times to build up the intensity of the colors.
  • Top off the tie-dye with a konad design (I used plate m65).
